Walter Goulet has spent the last 8 years doing everything from software development & testing to requirements engineering, network design, and custom consulting. Walter become interested in network security in 2004 after he learned how easily VoIP systems could be attacked if they weren’t designed properly. He earned his degree in computer, information, and network security from DePaul University in 2007 and has been learning how to deliver security solutions to customers since then. Walter’s main interests are in secure network design and in trying to figure out how to actually implement security systems to satisfy the myriad regulations that network operators need to meet. In addition to his work in security, Walter has spent some time trying to figure out how to solve pesky problems facing wireless network operators. He was recently awarded a US patent for some of his previous research in this area.
